Who we are

We are Colton and Olivia Dow, and Little Field Labradors is a reflection of who we are, how we live, and what we believe.

Animals have always been central to our lives. Colton has a background in animal science and agriculture, with hands-on experience breeding and rearing a wide range of animals including cattle, pigs, lambs, goats, horses, and dogs. That experience shaped a deep respect for genetics, early development, nutrition, and environment, and an understanding that healthy, well-adjusted animals are the result of thoughtful, consistent care—not chance.

Olivia brings education and experience in human health and biology, along with extensive experience working with dogs. Her background adds a complementary perspective that connects physical health, emotional well-being, and behavior. Together, we share a strong understanding of the biological processes that shape development and the environmental factors that support long-term health and stability.

We live in a setting In the white mountains of New Hampshire, that allows us to raise dogs the way we believe they should be raised. Our home is surrounded by open space, with a large fenced yard, access to water for swimming, and plenty of room to roam. Our dogs are part of our daily lives, not housed in kennels, and our puppies are raised in our home—loved from the very beginning and exposed early to the sights, sounds, and experiences that help build confident, adaptable companions.

We believe responsible dog breeding is about intention. It means honoring breed standards, prioritizing health, and raising dogs with care, patience, and respect. Above all, we believe dogs should be raised to become healthy, loving, intelligent, and adventurous companions, ready to thrive in the real world and in the families who welcome them home.

About the Dam

Ada

Ada is our foundation breeding female and the heart of our program at Little Field Labradors.

She is a registered Black Labrador Retriever from Heather Hollow Labradors, selected intentionally for her sound structure, temperament, and health. Ada meets Labrador Retriever breed standards and has completed all appropriate health testing and clearances, ensuring she is a strong and responsible candidate for our breeding program.

Beyond her credentials, Ada is everything we value in a Labrador. She is intelligent, steady, and people-focused, with the natural athleticism and adaptability that make the breed such a trusted companion. Ada is equally at home exploring outdoors, swimming, or settling in with the family, and she carries herself with the calm confidence we believe is essential in a well-rounded dog.

She is deeply connected to her people. She lives in our home and is part of our daily routine, which allows us to know her strengths, temperament, and needs intimately.

Ada represents the foundation of what we aim to produce: healthy, sound, intelligent Labradors raised with intention, care, and respect for the breed.
